Affinities are the natural elements each character possesses. They add a few small bonuses to each character. There are seven elemental affinities as well as a Null affinity. The Null affinity is only available to non-living creatures or creations. Null has no bonuses and is not able to be gotten on a character.

Supports
Supports are when two characters trust each other and watch each other's backs in combat. You can support up to 3 different characters at a time. If for some reason you need to destroy a support with a person, it is allowed. The character must do something to break the other's support. The support bonus you gain is based on the affinity of the person you have a support with, no your affinity. There are four ranks of support, C-B-A-S. S Rank can only be gotten during special points in the story.
When in 3 or less tiles of each other, you receive the full support bonus. For every 1 tile further, you gain only the lower bonus, until the point you gain nothing.
Gaining Supports is easy. The two characters must be in skirmishes together for so many battles and the owners of both characters must agree to the support. Then the two characters must form some type of trust in the story.
3 skirmishes are needed for C-Rank. 4 more skirmishes are needed for B-Rank. 7 more skirmishes are needed for A-Rank.
