*Well, this had been unexpected. Of course, he wasn't someone who would go down that easily either. Drawing his sword from his back and tossing it up into the air, catching it in hand as it came back down. He was used to this kind of stuff.*
"Warm up it is then! Don't expect me to go easy on any of you."
*Closing the distance between himself and the first brigand, he did a rising slash, going up along with it to avoid the opponent's strike as he came back down afterward, doing a second slash to end it.*

*The looming threat of possible reinforcements didn't appease to him at all. But, he couldn't let that get him down. If anything, he would have to breeze through these guys faster then. Taking to the woods after the other brigand, he knew the man would come after him if he simply turned his back and let him go. Engaging him in a quick duel of strikes as well.*

Ark stepped into the area with his sword drawn, raising an eyebrow at the display. Wow. This guy really didn't seem like he needed help at all. But... The fact that the lead bandit was talking about reinforcements may have been a good thing for Ark to step in. "Oi, need some assistance?"[/color] the Spell Sword called out loud enough for Zet to hear, but not enough for Marcus.

"Niva! Hurry up! I know I saw him come this way!!"
Shortly after Ark stepped in to assist the mercenary who might not actually need assisting, that shout broke the air. It was from someone young and who seemed not to care that whoever she was following heard her or not. The young one who it belonged to ran into vision of the fighters and spun around on her heels to look in the direction she came from. She looked upset that whoever she was traveling with was not as fast as she was.
"He's here! See!? He's already attacking someone!"
"Not everyone can... outrun wolves, Vivienne... Try to be a bit more patient..."
A woman in a purple dressed ran up to the young girl. She was breathing heavily, but anyone would. She had been chasing the girl for half an hour now. Vivienne had claimed to see one of the leaders of the local bandits and had dragged the woman to five different places before now. She really had no clue what the girl was thinking as their actual fighting force was currently not around. Vivienne really could not take down anyone by herself normally. She, herself, was not a fighter by any means. She was just a healer. Even a cat could beat her in a one-on-one battle! She took time to catch her breath then surveyed the area. Sure enough, there were several brigands laying on the ground, she doubted they were still part of this world, and she could make out a couple people in the trees.
"Vivi, we better be careful. Stay in the trees. We do not know the intentions of those fighting."
The girl crossed her arms.
"They're fighting Mary so they cannot be that bad! We're helping!"
The healer sighed and stepped between two trees. The girl was not going to change her mind so all that was left to try not to get injured.
"... Vivi. Hide in the trees."
"Sure! Maybe~"

~Enemy Phase~ Marcus took note of the new ally against him and his grin grew even wider. "Good good! More to whet my axe on! But you're not dying yet, there's still more to go around. Come on out boys!" Marcus shouts aloud, pointing his axe to the air as suddenly more brigands enter the area, some wielding swords instead of axes as myrmidons. The diversity on the battle increased and now they were against an assortment of enemies, though a minor assortment at best. At the same time a young thief makes his way into the battle as well, noting the opportunity to grab some loot. With the wave of a hand he brought two more with him, a sword wielder and an archer to back him up. it seemed there were more than one group of bandits around here. Ark sighed as reinforcements appeared. Looked like this was going to be more troublesome than he thought. With a grimace, he rushes forward to the nearby bandits, running into the forest. Darting about the woodwork, he slashes at his oppponent. Stepping backwards as his opponent aims a counter, he dodges the attack, then rushes forward once more and strikes again.

*Hearing the cry in the woods, Zet looked back from beyond the trees. He couldn't see Niamh, who had taken to the forest, but he did notice Vivienne along with the other who had asked if he needed help, Ark. Seeing that Ark took to the field, Zet used the time to speak back to the others, also noticing the reinforcements continuing their descent on them.*
"Hey there! A bunch of bandits are coming from all over the place, so it's dangerous. If you're here to help though, a helping hand is always nice."
*Seeing the brigand undefeated, Zet moved off to end it quickly enough. Bringing his sword to bear a quick strike since Ark had already cut into the man twice. This was going easy for the moment, but for how long was still up for grabs.*

Vivienne listened to the mercenary and smiled. He just asked for help, which meant... She happily ran to the nearest large tree and jumped a few times to try to catch the lowest branch. She frowned and looked at Niamh.
"Niva! Help me up, will ya?! The tree's too big!"
The healer chuckled and walked over to the girl. She was always finding some excuse to blame everything else if something did not go her way.
"Maybe it is your are still too short right now? C'mon, up you go..."
The woman picked up the girl so she could reach the branch. She laughed lightly again as the girl quickly swung up and climbed up to the top of the tree with ease. She could not help herself. It was only a few weeks ago that the girl had gotten stuck in a tree thanks to that cloak. The leader had to climb up there and chop the branch down - with a sword, mind you - to get her down.
"More trouble to the northwest! Plenty o'swords and a bow! Oh! And a butterknife wielder and lumberjack!"
Vivienne had surveyed the area to get a better idea of what they were against. They were outnumbered, but not outpowered, hopefully. That one guy with the oversized sword could fight and the other guy looked like he could get a few good swings in before fainting. With her and Niamh, that gave them a good chance. She just hoped there were no more hiding around.
The girl climbed down and hopped out of the tree. All that was left was trying to figure out a plan. She would need time as she did not know the full ability of their temporary comrades. For now...
"Guy with the big sword, be careful of the rock-head with an axe to the north! We need to group together! Niva's not able to deflect swords after all!"
She could only hope the mercenary could understand her. She got accused of not speaking correctly a lot. She looked over to her pink-haired friend and pointed to a group of trees closer to the other two. She slipped behind a tree a bit to her north as Niamh jogged, as well as she could in a dress, to the trees Vivi pointed out.

Tresc slid to a stop alongside Melody and smirked. Bandits? This could be fun then...so he thought...until the nuisance of a fairy decided to shoot her mouth.
"Come on you looooooosers!"
Tresc stiffened for a moment and eyed Rei...surely she didn't...he stared ahead as a sweatdrop ran down his head and he gave a soft laugh. He sighed and decided to go ahead and move.

~Enemy Phase~ Just as more allies joined the fray, more enemies did the same. Another brigand coming in from behind Marcus and taking to the field. Someone else did too that stood out, an archer with brown wavy hair and eyes that looked tired and devoid of life. He wasn't dead or anything, but maybe something was wrong here? From near Vivi, a pirate crossed the field, headed straight toward her. Marcus made no move, but everyone else did, the waves moving across the plains toward them. A brigand made it to Ark, swiping his axe at the man rather than the mercenary beside him. Tresc, who had stayed back a bit more was in the lock of the archer who came, the man speaking simple words. "Die." The arrow was let loose, shot directly at the myrmidon from the trees. Vivi was attacked by the pirate who had made his way over to her, swiping his twin axes at her as he let out a battle cry. Seemed as though this was far from over. Ark blinked as he avoided and launched a counter attack. Seemed like there were more people attending this party. Interesting. With a sigh, a flash occurred underneath his cloak, as he held his blade before him. Winds circled about it, as he moved away from the Brigand. Taking a step back, he vanishes, reappearing near the bandit as he slashes twice, creating a whirlwind to come into being and consume his enemy.

Vivienne just barely avoided the axe of the pirate. She was paying attention to what was going on elsewhere... Plus who expected a pirate so far inland? She pulled a sickle, an odd choice of weapon, from under her cloak and slashed at the one who attacked her. She quickly darted back towards the other group and ducked in a small patch of trees.
"Niva! Careful, there's a pirate nearby! Back up the black capeish guy! Mercenary, take out the brigand or the archer if possible!"
She had noticed the two others and the ball of light stepping into the battle, but she had no clue what to make of them. They could not be with the archer's group as the man had no hesitation sticking an arrow in one, but they could be with the bandits. She kept the sickle in hand for now and peeked around one of the trees to see what was going on.
While Vivi was hiding, Niamh looked over where she ran from. Sure enough, there was one who looked like a pirate there. He was also too close for comfort. She took the little girl's advice (well, order...) and quickly went over to where the one who had stepped in the battle at roughly the same time as they did was staying. She did not say anything and just clenched her healing staff tightly.

Melody jumped backwards as Niamh left the forest behind her. She entered the new expanse of trees with the brigand who had attacked her in sight. Spinning her sword once, the girl slashed at the Brigand from where she was, wind shooting out to catch the axe-wielder in a powerful blow. However, the blade was too heavy for her to strike again and so she relented and stayed where she was.

The things you saw just from heading down a path sometimes. Coming up from the south, it looked like a rather large fight was going on here. Normally it would be hard to tell which side was in the wrong here, but seeing a guy with an axe swinging at a young child made it rather obvious. She couldn't just skip by this, heading into the fray to help them out. The archer didn't seem like an ally, but it looked like the ones waving all of the swords were and she had a feeling someone with a staff wouldn't be that close to them if they were enemies. Here goes nothing then, hoping she could make a difference here as she closed the distance between herself and the pirate. There were way too many people running around here, drawing her sword.

*Just one thing after another. The archer took out the guy with the orb of light instantly, and the ones who came to help seemed to be in trouble too. That guy had a lot of nerve swinging an axe like that at someone that young. Of course, he got slashed by another person right after. That covered their rear partly, also glad that Ark took out the other brigand. The archer that was nearby wasn't as much of a threat as someone waving an axe, closing the distance in an instant before cutting him down with his sword.*
"Jeez, just how many of these guys are there?!"

~Enemy Phase~ The enemy continued their charge regardless of those who fell, a brigand rushing over to Elaine and swiping his axe at her. The swordsman kept coming as well, one diverting themselves over to Elaine and engaging her while the brigand did the same. The archer went off from Elaine, deciding to make Zet his target as he fired off a bolt at him. The thief was closing distance fast too, Noland not moving while aiming at Ark next, eyes unflinching as he fired off another shot that was just as deadly as the last. Melody saw the newcomer nearly feel another sword wielder, and she seemed quite surrounded at this point as well. Grasping her sword Melody ran to her side, just outside the forest, and gave a quick warning as she raised her blade. "I suggest you move out of the way!" She says as she brings down the Wind Splitter, cutting through the air and sending off a wave of slicing wind to cut into the myrmidon on the other side of Elaine.
